Dominique Trechot

Dominique Tréchot is a Founding Partner of Carmin Finance. His image is that of a inveterate deal-maker. Who favors building, and feeding, trustful dialogs. Who is at ease in difficult situations, because of his long experience, and because of his past as a tax lawyer. Straightforward and creative in negotiations, he appreciates multicultural situations (being half Irish).

Experience

Dominique began his career as a tax lawyer within the Francis Lefebvre Law Office in Paris, where he advised the largest French and Foreign groups for several years. He also has, for five years, held a Chair of Tax Law in the better-known French Business School : HEC.

In order to ensure his transition between the world of law and that of business, he devoted himself for some time to the management of industrial companies.

Since 1987, he exclusively conducts « equity transactions » on the midcap market : mergers, acquisitions, sales, capital increases, financing, restructuring, conflicts between shareholders, and traditional operations of OBO, LBO and MBI. He is well known within the French community of Private Equity firms, and Family Offices.

He has personally initiated, led, negotiated and concluded more than 250 transactions. Half of which involved a foreign European counterpart. His daily contacts are ; the managers, the shareholders, of smidcaps, as well as the entities involved in their financing, through debt and “equity capital”.

Education

Dominique is a graduate of HEC Business School in Paris, and holds a Master in Economics from the Paris Dauphine University. He is also a qualified mediator (Ifomene, Paris).

 Life drives and passions

Beyond advisory, Dominique has acted, for 12 years, as volunteer treasurer for the better-known French Association fighting Cystic Fibrosis (VLM). He today intervenes as “mediator” in non-lucrative situations, in order to promote Alternative Dispute Resolution.
