Robert Maxwell

Robert has extensive experience both as a senior investment banker and as a corporate executive. His experience spans a broad range of sectors, including financial services, technology and biotechnology, healthcare and manufacturing.

Experience
Prior to joining Westbury Group, Robert (Bob) was President and CEO of Financing for Science International, Inc. (“FSI”), a publicly-traded, specialty finance company. Until it was acquired, FSI was a leader in providing innovative financing to rapidly growing, middle market companies nationwide. FSI was a pioneer in providing financing to biotech companies and emerging growth companies in the technology sector.

Subsequently, Bob served as SVP/CFO of ProHealth Physicians, the largest primary care physician organization in Connecticut.  Later, he co-founded Ironwood Capital, an investment bank also located in Connecticut. Earlier in his career, Bob served in senior financial and business development capacities with Freeport McMoRan, one of the world’s premier natural resource companies.  Bob started his career as a lending officer in the International Division of Bank of Montreal in Montreal.

Education

Robert holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA Economics (Honors) from the University of Manchester in England. Bob holds Series 7, 24, 28 and 63 FINRA licenses and serves as Westbury’s Chief Compliance Officer and Financial Operations Principal.

Life drives and passions

Bob lives in Denver, Colorado and enjoys the active lifestyle that Western lifestyle affords.  Bob and his wife have traveled extensively overseas.
