Ricky is a Director at HMT, with over 15 years experience, working in the firms lead advisory team. He is very much relationship driven and has a broad range of experience across a number of corporate advisory disciplines including a significant amount of sell-side work for business owners, fund raising (both raising development capital and supporting management teams who wish to raise funding to execute an MBO) and buy-side private equity work.
Experience
Ricky started his career with Grant Thornton in Reading after completing a degree in economics at University. During his career Ricky has lead projects in audit, recovery and reorganisation, transactional due diligence and corporate finance and has worked with a range of dynamic businesses at varying stages of the business lifecycle – from pre-revenue start-ups to FTSE350 listed entities. Combining technical expertise with experience and pragmatic commercial advice, he supported a significant number of transactions in the lower mid-market (£5m – £100m deal size) and this has given him a unique insight into what drives value within an organisation as well as what can detract from value during a deal process.
Sector focus : logistics, software, IT managed services, business services (including marketing agencies and recruitment), automotive supply chain and manufacturing & distribution.
Education
Ricky graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Liverpool in 2003.
Life drives and passions
When he is not working on transactions, Ricky enjoys playing golf, football and competing in triathlons. Although he would admit he enjoys chilling and watching movies with his family just as much.
