Suejean Asato is a Partner at AVP Group with an additional function as Head of Business Intelligence. She is an industry consultant with very significant expertise in sustainability, waste, and renewables sectors.
Experience
Suejean started her career with Aikoh Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan, where she held various management positions in the Overseas Dept.
In addition to her responsibilities at Aikoh, she played an integral role in starting up the USA subsidiary, Epoleon Corporation, located in Torrance, CA. As Market Development Manager she supported market entry, sales and distribution, identification of potential customers and partners.
After relocating to Zurich Switzerland in 1992, Suejean started to work with AVP and played an active role in building up a successful technology transfer/strategic partnership business between Europe and Asia.
She is an Industry consultant with strong expertise in the sustainability, environmental, waste and renewables markets, having extensive experience in market intelligence for companies focused on resource recovery, sustainability, energy, environmental, recycling etc.
Supported M&A activities via research, target search, contacting etc. In addition, provided main research for numerous industry market reports. Maintenance and publication of the market share report for the energy-from-waste industry on an annual basis since 2002.
Suejean has a very international profile and speaks four languages: Japanese, Korean, English and German.
Education
Suejean has a BA in Business Administration from USC, CA and University of Lynchburg, USA.
