Carl-Alexander Van Tornout

Vice President

Carl-Alexander is a M&A expert based in Hong Kong. He is the Vice President for the Compagnie d’Investissements et de Gestion Privée (CIGP), an international financial advisory boutique.

Carl-Alexander is responsible for the sourcing and execution of advisory transactions,  cross-border M&A transactions, leveraged and managed buyouts as well as in the context of capital increase situations. He is fluent in English, Dutch, Afrikaans and conversational in French.

Experience

Prior to joining CIGP, Carl-Alexander was part of BNP Paribas’ “Inspection Générale” internal control team, where he was responsible for assessing, monitoring and managing the bank’s risks globally. He started his career as an International Associate Graduate in the Corporate & Investment Banking division of BNP Paribas Fortis, covering Corporate Acquisition Finance, Leveraged Finance and Project Finance, where he was based in Europe and the Middle East.

Carl-Alexander is a Licensed Representative registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Education

Carl-Alexander’s educational background is in Financial Management at the Vlerick Management school, ranked in the Top 10 European Business Schools by the Financial Times when completing my masters.

He also holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Applied Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.

Life drives and passions

Carl-Alexander enjoys trail running in nature and spending time with the family.
