ICFG UK advises on the sale of Object Matrix to DataCore Software
Object Matrix is the award-winning venture-backed software company that has pioneered object storage and the modernization of media archives through deployment of MatrixStore, the on-prem, hybrid and cloud storage platform.
Object Matrix’s unified deployment approach ensures content spans on-prem and cloud storage and its focus on the media industry gives a deep understanding of the challenges organizations face when protecting, processing, and sharing video content. Customers include NBC Universal, Warner Bros. Discovery, MSG-N, ATP Media, BT, and the BBC.
HMT were engaged to run an international process to identify a strategic acquirer who would be able to accelerate Object-Matrix’s fast-growing SaaS offering even further and following a competitive process, DataCore was selected as preferred partner, complementing its own world-class solution portfolio, increasing reliability and agility for customers in the fast growing media and entertainment edge market.
