ICFG Hong-Kong, China advises on a strategic transaction of Italian spirits

CIGP Partners has advised the shareholders of Mancino Vermouth, the fast emerging premium vermouth brand, in selling a majority stake to the group Lucano 1894, the renowned Italian amaro and spirits group.

The transaction aims at providing Mancino Vermouth with new support and expertise in further continuing its success story, while broadening the product line of Lucano 1894, especially in the on-trade channel.

Mancino Vermouth is the business idea of world-renowned barman and entrepreneur Giancarlo Mancino, who created a premium vermouth brand which rapidly became a must-have in the best bars, hotel and restaurants around the world.

The transaction sets an important achievement for Mancino Vermouth and its founder Giancarlo Mancino, as well as the beginning of an important partnership with the Vena Family, owners of Lucano 1894, based on common values, ambitions and Lucanian roots.

About the Lucano 1894 group
Lucano 1894 is family business established in 1894, now one of the most reputable Italian companies in the production and marketing of spirits. The company’s iconic Amaro Lucano was created in Pisticci (Matera) at the end of the 19th century, thanks to the intuition of its young founder Pasquale Vena; an amaro with a balanced taste that has become a best-selling product all over the world.
