ICFG France supports Eurotranspharma as it continues to expand in Eastern Europe

The French family company Walden, parent company of Eurotranspharma, a transporter of medicines and other health products, with a direct presence in 15 countries (Romania will be the 16th), is acquiring Alex Transport International, a Romanian temperature-controlled transport company founded by Alexandru Constantinescu in 1994.

Walden is one of Europe’s leading logistics groups in the transport and logistics of pharmaceutical and healthcare products (Movianto Eurotranspharma, Transpharma International) and sees this acquisition as a major growth opportunity in this region.
The Walden group has sales of €2.2 billion in 2022 and has recently extended its scope to Poland and the Czech Republic.

Benoit Latteur, CEO of Eurotranspharma International, said “after the acquisition of Mitters in 2021 in the Czech Republic, and the launch of the Skandi network, this acquisition confirms Eurotranspharma’s ability to offer all its customers in the pharmaceutical industry a last mile GDP service in over 16 European countries”.

Alexandru Constantinescu declared “after having developed my company over the last 30 years, I am delighted to join the Walden Group, with whom I share the values of dynamism and innovation, and I intend to play an active part in the Group’s growth in Romania and the rest of Europe”.
