Panos has over 15 years of experience in private equity, investment
and merchant banking. Prior to his present posting as senior advisor in charge
of corporate finance for Euroconsultants S.A., he served as the investment
director and financial controller of Demco Group, a family-owned private equity
group managing over 2 billion Euro, where he executed investments in Middle
East/North Africa (MENA) and Southeastern Europe and served on the BoD of 6
portfolio companies. Previously, he worked for many years at Commercial
Capital, a premier regional private equity group, doing growth capital
transactions in Southeastern Europe. While at Commercial Capital, he was non-executive
director of 4 investee companies. Panos has also held positions in the European
banking industry in organizations like UBS AG in leveraged lending and project
finance, EFG Eurobank in corporate banking, and Ionian Finance in equity
capital markets. His expertise spans across various industries such as
telecoms, healthcare, food and beverage, business and IT services, consulting,
financial services, leisure and tourism, media and advertising as well as
business aviation. He has extensive business and investment experience in
Eastern and Southeastern Europe - including Greece and Turkey - as well as in MENA.
He has also significant engineering experience through his work at the
Catalysis Lab of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and at cosmetics
company Shiseido in Japan. Panos has often been guest speaker and lecturer in
various investment conferences and graduate courses on private equity. He holds
a Dip. Eng. in Chemical Engineering
from National Technical University of Athens, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering
from Tufts University and has been awarded an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks
English, Greek, French and German.
